Registration is open!

  • Early registration deadline: April 12, 2022 (extension)
  • Regular registration deadline: June 9, 2022
  • Online late registration closing: June 30, 2022

Academic: Scientists employed by academic, research or scientific organizations.

Non-academic: Non-academic / industry delegates.

Young scientist: Up to 35 years of age (at time of registration payment), except if studies were started later, or were delayed by maternity leave (18 months per child), prolonged illness or other personal reasons; a scanned copy of ID showing date of birth (and any additional supporting docs for over 35s with special circumstances) is to be provided during registration.

Registration Fee for Participants includes:

  • Abstract handling
  • Admission to all scientific sessions
  • Entrance to poster & exhibition area
  • Lunches and coffee breaks
  • Name badge, and program booklet if requested
  • Congress bag
  • Invitation to Welcome Reception

Registration Fee for Accompanying Persons includes:

  • Half-day City Tour in central Lisbon

Participant support schemes

IUBMB, FEBS and PABMB YSF grants: for scientists selected to take part in the IUBMB–FEBS–PABMB Young Scientists' Forum immediately preceding the IUBMB–FEBS–PABMB Congress (as well as attending the Congress). For more information, see the YSF applications page. Deadline is December 15, 2021.

Congress bursaries
There are three bursary schemes for the IUBMB–FEBS–PABMB Congress for eligible early-career scientists submitting an abstract to the Congress as first author, dependent on the geographical region of study/work. For full eligibility criteria and details of how to apply, follow the links below: 

  • SPB Bursariesfor young scientists from Portugal who are members of the Portuguese Biochemical Society (SPB); for more information, click here. Deadline is February 20, 2022.
  • FEBS Bursaries: for early-career scientists from FEBS countries (Europe and some bordering countries with a FEBS Constituent Society, excluding Portugal); for more information, click here. Deadline is March 10, 2022
  • IUBMB Bursaries: for early-career scientists from IUBMB countries beyond the FEBS area; for more information, click here. Deadline is March 10, 2022

FEBS Sprinzl Scheme: a reduced early-bird registration fee for scientists resident/working in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Morocco, Moldova, Serbia, Tunisia and Ukraine who are submitting an abstract to the Congress as first author. For more information, click here. Deadline is March 10, 2022.
For the IUBMB–FEBS–PABMB Congress, there are also Sprinzl travel grants available, aimed at mid-career researchers. 

Ukrainian Schemes: support for registration fee and travel/accommodation for scientists in Ukraine or displaced from Ukraine who are submitting abstracts to the IUBMB–FEBS–PABMB Congress. For more information, click here. Deadline is March 14, 2022
